Pre-Columbian, southern Mexico, Teotihuacan, ca. 300 to 700 CE and Western Mexico, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. First, very fine pottery bowl from the Teotihuacan culture. Stucco over tan clay in the form of serpents, crossed and other abstract designs, Along with 3 large pottery spindle whorls in red, black and tan - each incised with decorations. Very fine examples! Size: bowl measures 6-1/4"; spindle whorls measure 1-5/8" in diameter for largest. Provenance: Ex-private P. Davis collection, Santa Monica, CA, acquired before 1995.
