A collection of 4 ancient Michoacan pottery vessels with the characteristic russet slip and geometric and linear patterning. Michoacan was a power in Mexico that rivaled Teotihuacan and people living in the Michoacan cities would have had a variety of pottery available to them both for domestic use in life and to be placed within their graves in death Size of tall vessel: 3.5" L x 4.5" W x 6.5" H (8.9 cm x 11.4 cm x 16.5 cm)

Missing spout on smallest vessel. Large pot repaired from several pieces with restoration to base and chips to rim. Scattered manganese deposits throughout.
