This redware rattle brilliantly takes on the form of a hunchback with his pronounced physiognomic deformity and compromised positioning of his legs, twisted 90 degrees to the right. The piece is finely modeled and eyes, hair, and ear spools are delineated in white slip. What's more he functions as a musical rattle.
