Pre-Columbian, northern Mexico, Chihuahua, Casas Grandes, ca. 1150 to 1450 CE. A beautiful pair of pottery vessels: a Ramos Black jar of a rounded form with a petite lug handle in the shape of a frog on one side and a redware olla with a curved base and vertically lobed, concave shoulder that rises to a flared rim. Size of larger (redware jar): 6.6" Diameter x 5.5" H (16.8 cm x 14 cm)

  • Condition: Both have been professionally repaired with restoration and repainting over break lines; all don very well and difficult to notice. Otherwise, both have excellent presentations and light earthen deposits in areas. Rounded bases create slight wobble but both are able to stand independent of support.
