Magna Graecia, South Italic Colonies, Apulia, ca. 340 to 325 BCE. A beautiful wheel-thrown blackware pottery olpe with a circular base, an apple-shaped body, a rounded shoulder, a squat neck with a flared rim, and an applied strap handle joining rim to shoulder. The entire vessel is coated with lustrous black-hued glaze of an elegant presentation. Size: 3.125" W x 3.8" H (7.9 cm x 9.7 cm).
