A striking Agoudal meteorite fragment, a 0.1-carat faceted white topaz, and a translucent green moldavite, set in a modern sterling silver pendant. The meteorite and moldavite are mounted in prong settings, and the topaz is in a formfitting bezel, the open-back settings allow light to illuminate the two semi-translucent stones. The pendant is strung on a simple cord with a lobster clasp but can easily be added to a chain. Moldavite is a rare, glassy, green tektite formed from the impact of a meteorite, primarily found in the Czech Republic. The Agoudal or Imilchil meteorite impact is believed to have occurred nearly 40,000 years ago, with fragments first documented in 2000 and identified in 2011 as rare IIAB type hexahedrite iron meteorites. These low-nickel iron meteorites are among the rarest, known for their distinctively rugged and metallic appearance, making them especially popular in jewelry design. Size of pendant: 1.75" L x 0.42" W (4.4 cm x 1.1 cm); cord: 21" L (53.3 cm); silver quality: 92%; weight: 7.6 grams
