North America, United States, 20th to 21st century CE; Native American, Southwestern United States, Ancestral Puebloan (Anasazi), ca. 1000 to 1150 CE. A Buffalo / Indian head nickel coin and 2 shards of handmade ancient Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan) pottery set in a modern silver bezel as pendant. The pottery fragments are the classic black-on-white style with linear markings. The nickel was minted between 1913 to 1938 as an attempt to beautify United States coinage. The pendant is strung on a modern cord with a lobster clasp as a wearable necklace! Size of pendant: 3.5" L x 1.25" W (8.9 cm x 3.2 cm); cord: 21"" L (53.3 cm); silver quality: 92.5%; weight: 28.1 grams
