Native American, Southwestern United States, Pueblo, Papago, Santa Clara, Santa Domingo, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. AA delightful pottery jar featuring a rotund body with swollen walls that are adorned with black-painted geometric designs and insect motifs. Sitting upon a round yet stable base, the vessel is surmounted by a short, tubular neck and a gently flared rim. Trace remains of a red-slipped triangular motif decorate the interior of the rim. Size: 9" Diameter x 7.8" H (22.9 cm x 19.8 cm)
