Description:

Pre-Columbian, Panama, Chiriqui, ca. 800 to 1500 CE. A small terracotta animal shaped effigy vessel with short neck and pointed base. The rounded bottom of this pot is typical of the Armadillo-Terra Cotta Ware style. This type is also of the largest in the array of pot varieties from the Chiriqui region of Panama.
