Description:

Pre-Columbian, Panama, ca. 1200 to 1500 CE. A delightful polychrome ceramic vessel with a deep bowl and a zoomorphic form. The body stands on four peg-like legs and the rim of the bowl has spread wings as handles. A charming three-dimensional head and broad tail project from the rim at ninety degree angles from the wings, giving the piece a pleasing symmetry. Red, white, and black pigment creates fascinating patterns and adds details like eyes. Size: 6.25" W x 2.8" H (15.9 cm x 7.1 cm)
