Pre-Columbian, Central America, Panama, Gran Cocle culture, ca. 600 to 1000 CE. A hand-built and brightly painted vessel with a ring foot and broad neck and mouth opening. The surface is slipped in beige and umber hue, with darker outlines, forming abstract serpentine bodies, tendrils, claws, and triangular heads that resemble reptilian and bird-like creatures. Size: 10.5" Diameter x 10" H (26.7 cm x 25.4 cm)
