Pre-Columbian, Panama, Coclé region, probably Conte or Cubitá style, ca. 500 to 800 CE. This is a charming deer-shaped pouring vessel with cream and black paint details including a well-rendered face and stippling across the body. The legs end in two-toed feet and the antlers are intact and have some cream paint remaining. Size: 8-1/2"”L x 3-1/2"”W x 5-1/4"”H. Provenance: Ex-private Rousseau collection acquired before 1984.
