Description:

**Previously Listed At 350**

Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Valdivian, ca. 3500 to 1500 BCE. A lovely pair of terracotta "Venus" figures, mold-made and finely detailed with petite visages comprised of delicately incised features, framed by long, straight coiffures parted in the middle, one with pronounced breasts, quite fitting as scholars believe that these female figures probably were fertility idols. Both show nice remains of red pigment on the surface. Fabulous figurines representing the first Venus Idols in the Americas! Custom stand. Size: both measure ~ 1.5" H (3.8 cm); 2.75" H (7 cm) on stand.
