Pre-Columbian, Mexico, Teotihuacan, ca 400 to 600 CE. Two pottery double chambered vessels used by the ancients to burn incense (copal) as offerings to the gods. One with incised lines, the other with stippled marks from a sharp stick. Size: 2.5" L x 1.75" H (6.4 cm x 4.4 cm)

Provenance: Ex-private Martine collection, Centennial, CO, acquired by family descent in 2002; previously acquired by relatives in Mexico in 1950's and brought into United States in early 1970's.
