Roman, Imperial Period, Eastern Empire, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A beautiful pair of glass bottles, each boasting an elegant silhouette and free-blown from translucent olive green glass with scattered areas of rainbow and violet iridescence. Larger of the 2, the first vessel presents a squat body and a long, slender neck that culminates in a rolled rim, all sitting upon a concave base. Alternatively, the more petite bottle displays straight walls, a rounded shoulder, and a conical flared neck that is also surmounted by a rolled rim. Size of larger (long-necked bottle): 2.2" Diameter x 3.8" H (5.6 cm x 9.7 cm)
