Description:

Northern Europe, Denmark, Neolithic period, ca. 3900 to 1700 BCE. Two daggers, of meticulously knapped flint, one in hues of umber and coral and the other in slate, pearl, and smoky grey, both bifacially knapped on either side of their respective cutting edges. The smaller of the pair has an almost uniform width running the length from tang to tip, and the larger has a clearly-defined handle compared to the blade. Both are beautiful examples of early stone-age weapon crafting. Size of larger dagger: 1" W x 6.65" H (2.5 cm x 16.9 cm).
