Description:

Greece, Hellenistic Period, ca. 3rd to 1st century BCE. Two detailed, charming, mold-made ceramic sculptures - one depicting the head of a woman wearing an incredible ostrich-feather headdress, the other depicting a man with an impressive beard and a draped crown. The man's upper torso is also nicely preserved. Both give us a glimpse of what people wore on their heads in the past, allowing us to better imagine this ancient time. Displayed in a custom shadow box. Size of largest (man): 3.2" W x 5.2" H (8.1 cm x 13.2 cm); size of shadow box: 12.45" W x 11.55" H (31.6 cm x 29.3 cm)
