Thailand, late Neolithic period, Ban Kao culture, ca. 2000 BCE to late 1st millennium BCE. A pair of smoothed greenstones with small areas of creamy inclusion formed into ritual adzes made for burial. Ban Kao is a mound in southeast Thailand that has been excavated to reveal an ancient village with numerous burials. Polished stone adzes in a variety of shapes and sizes have been found with these burials, who were almost all placed extended on their backs with adzes beside them and pots placed at strategic points around them. Both come with a custom stand. Size of largest: 2.2" W x 6.25" H (5.6 cm x 15.9 cm)
