Description:

Classical World, Southern Italy, Etruria, ca. 6th century BCE. A great set of two wheel-thrown blackware pottery kyathoi (singular kyathos), each with a petite circular base, tall walls with a lightly carinated base, a flared lip, and a high-arching strap handle. Matte, jet-black glaze enrobes both vessels and imbues them with an elegant presentation synonymous with pottery create via the Bucchero technique. Size of each (both are relatively similar): 2.6" W x 3" H (6.6 cm x 7.6 cm).
