Description:

Near East, Byzantine or Islamic, ca. 9th to 12th century CE. A pair of pretty and wearable glass bracelets, both fused with spiraled, polychrome decoration. The smaller has black and yellow stripes with a thin blue and white border over brown-green opaque glass. The other has red, white, yellow, and black stripes with a similarly thin blue and white border over deep green, translucent glass. Size of smallest interior width: 2.35" W (6 cm); exterior: 2.9" W (7.4 cm); size of largest interior width: 2.75" W (7 cm); exterior: 3.15" W (8 cm).
