Description:

Continental Europe, late 19th century. A beautiful pair of European Art Nouveau Majolica vases, each one decorated with branches of pink rose buds and full blooms as well as green/gold leaves rendered in high relief. The columnar vessel body flares at the base and rises to a flared mouth adorned by a repeated leaf/petal motif. Twin openwork handles further grace the vessel with an aesthetic that marries organic with geometric motifs. The exterior of the vase is glazed in shades of green and turquoise with pink roses, while the interior is glazed in white. Simply stunning! Size: 6.5" W x 12.375" H (16.5 cm x 31.4 cm)
