Europe, ca. 18th to 19th century CE. Two solid, cast bronze tokens, one depicting a pair of profile images - on one side, a horned and bearded gentleman with shoulders wrapped in the drapery of his garment, and on the other side, a male figure in the style of Giuseppe Arcimboldo (Italian, 1527-1593), however rather than being comprised of fruits and vegetables, this visage is formed from a snake and various phalluses. The smaller token features a soldier on horseback, only the front end of the horse is actually an erect penis! Size: larger measures 1.625" in diameter (4.1 cm); smaller measures 1.25" in diameter (3.2 cm)
