A lovely pair of original etchings by George Phillip Rugendas, a German artist who was active in the early 18th century and specialized in hunting and battle scenes, parading soldiers, and other action scenes. The pair is set in matching custom mats and frames under glass. A special example from the early 18th century. Size: etchings measure ~ 4.5" L x 5.75" W (11.4 cm x 14.6 cm); 9.25" L x 10" W (23.5 cm x 25.4 cm) framed

  • Condition: The etchings have not been examined outside the frame but appear to be in very good condition. There are old informative collection labels on the gallery paper on the verso. Gallery paper on verso shows some tears and staining. Minor scuffs to the frames. Glass is intact. Wired for suspension.
