Description:

Ancient Near East, Mesopotamia, Babylon, Old Babylonian Period, ca. 1900 to 1600 BCE. A roller stamp seal of cylindrical form that is hand-carved from chocolate-brown stone with a vertical suspension hole drilled through the body. Inscribed across the surfaces is an enigmatic scene showing a trio of standing figures - the right-facing figure is a god, and the remaining 2 are supplicants. A petite, two-line cuneiform inscription is incised along one side. Size: 0.46" L x 0.44" W x 0.81" H (1.2 cm x 1.1 cm x 2.1 cm)
