From Thessaly, Greece.ca. 6th to 4th millennium BCE. A very early terracotta head with dome-like top, slit eyes and open mouth. Nice orange pigment. Piece itself measures 2-1/4"H (5.7 cm) + custom stand. Of note: This idol is from a collection of about 30 fragmentary idols and at the time the more expensive ones TL tested positive for age of between 6600 +-1500 years and 5600+-1100 years.
