A beautiful Neoclassical ring featuring an oval carnelian intaglio incised with a playfully posed messenger god Hermes / Mercury who holds his caduceus in one hand, raises the other, and stands on one foot with his other leg bent at the knee - placed in a beautiful 14 karat gold setting, the shank boasting incredible artistry with a flower delineated on each side, openwork around each blossom, and additional decorative openwork around the bezel. US ring size: 4. Size: intaglio measures .5" L x .375" W (1.3 cm x 1 cm); opening measures .75" in diameter (1.9 cm); total weight: 3.3 grams.
