A fabulous necklace strung with dozens of petite ancient steatite and faience beads in black, white, and gray - arranged on a modern wire with a lobster clasp as a wearable necklace! Three ancient carnelian stone beads are evenly strung near the center as a focal point and accents to the strand. Carnelian was not mined in Mesopotamia and was traded from afar to - attesting to the extensive trade routes and commerce of the Sumerian civilization at the time! Size of strand: 24.5" L (62.2 cm); carnelian bead: 0.25" W (0.6 cm)
