Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE; Native American, Southeastern United States, Georgia, Mississippian culture, ca. 900 to 1400 CE. obsidian stone and shell beads from ancient North American and Mexican cultures, combined together as a wearable necklace strung in modern times on a wire. The tiny black beads, thin obsidian discs, and a flint shaped obsidian bead are Colima and dispersed evenly along the strand with 41 white shell beads from Mississippian culture. Size of strand: 41.25" L (104.8 cm); obsidian discs: 0.62" W (1.6 cm); Riker case: 6" L x 5" W (15.2 cm x 12.7 cm)
