Description:

**First Time At Auction**

East Asia, China, Yuan to Ming Dynasty, ca. 14th to 16th century CE. A lovely strand of dozens and dozens of glass trade beads of rounded form and in hues of cobalt blue, sky blue, black, white, grey, translucent pink, periwinkle, and slate grey - excavated from the Tak Hilltop burial site along the Thai Burmese border. The dating of these beads corresponds with that of pottery found in the same strata. With the exception of several faceted crystal-like glass beads (more than likely Dutch) these beads are trade beads from Yunnan China into Southeast Asia. Size: 30" L (76.2 cm)
