Description:

Magna Graecia, South Italic Colonies, Apulia, ca. 340 to 325 BCE. A fine, well preserved, miniature wheel-thrown lekythos of a squat form with a ringed foot, a bulbous body, a rolled shoulder, a narrow neck with a flared, in-folded rim, and a petite applied strap handle. The exterior of the vessel is covered in a lustrous black glaze with 3 bands of bare, red terracotta wrapping around the shoulder. Size: 2.5" Diameter x 4.1" H (6.4 cm x 10.4 cm)
