Near east, central Asia, Turkmenistan, Persia, ca. 2500 BCE to 500 CE. Nice study group of 8 stone stamp seals dating from 4500 years ago to about 1500 years ago. Included in the group are two simple geometric seals in rectangular form each coming from Iran; a lovely hematite conical seal dating to the Achaemenid period - about 600 BCE, domed gray jasper with twin mouflons, ovoid bead seal and pottery button seal with impressed scorpion. A lovely group! Size of largest: .75" W x .625" H (1.9 cm x 1.6 cm)
