Ancient Near East, Holy Land, Samaria, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. A mold-formed terracotta oil lamp with a flat base, a circular body with a tapered neck channel, a broad fill hole, and a wide wick spout with a pair of laterally protruding points. Decorating the shoulder are two wavy strands that terminate just before reaching the neck and the high-handled kantharos in the middle. Size: 3.4" L x 2.2" W (8.6 cm x 5.6 cm)
