Near East / Central Asia, Anatolia, Indus Valley, Afghanistan, Achaemenid, Neo Assyrian, Persia, ca. 2000 BCE to 500 CE. A collection of 7 ancient stone and bronze beads / amulets; an Achaemenid lion, Anatolian abstract bulls head, the lateral perforation forming eyes. Levant 7th century or earlier bronze rectangular ring face or inlay for a bezel with linear markings. Two orange amulets from central Asia- Indus Valley / Afghanistan region are perhaps carved from copal resin. The conical seal is likely Neo-Assyrian, engraved with linear markings and pierced for suspension through the tip. The white and green jasper cabochon is likely a modern cut stone that was added to this collection, but is perfect for a ring or pendent setting. Size of conical seal: 0.7" L x 0.45" Diameter (1.8 cm x 1.1 cm)
