Description:

Pre-Columbian, South Coast Peru, Nazca, ca. 200 to 400 CE. A fabulous pottery bowl presenting a round yet stable base, straight walls, and an annular rim, all adorned in hues of maroon, powder blue, orange, white, sienna, and black. Though bare on the interior, the exterior of the vessel displays a painted horizontal band near its rim comprised of several sideways peppers, each separate by a vertical white striation, and all enveloped in a lustrous burnish. Size: 7.125" in diameter x 3.25" H (18.1 cm x 8.3 cm)
