Pre-Columbian, south coast Peru, Nazca, ca. 100 to 400 CE. A remarkable mold-made pottery vessel presenting with a rounded yet stable base, a spherical body, and a pair of conical spouts connected via a broad bridge. Boasting a lustrous burnish, this ancient jar is skillfully painted with two "Mythical Killer Whale" deities with bloody mouths and pitchfork-like objects in vibrant hues of periwinkle, maroon, black, grey, and orange atop a beige field. Size: 4.375" in diameter x 6" H (11.1 cm x 15.2 cm)
