Description:

Pre-Columbian, South Coast of Peru, Nazca to Huari Transition Period, ca. 500 to 700 CE. A wondrous pottery vessel exhibiting a planar base and a pair of tapered conical spouts that are bridged in the center by a slender handle. The stone-burnished vessel features brown pigment along the lower body, handles, and spouts as well as an orange ground around the upper body. A pair of trophy heads adorns the top of the body, each surrounded by several pairs of black-and-white or red-and-white 'eyes'. Size: 4.5" L x 6.25" W x 5.75" H (11.4 cm x 15.9 cm x 14.6 cm)
