Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Nayarit, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hollow-built pottery male figure sitting with bent legs extended in front of his tall body. The nude man supports his forward-leaning posture by placing his left hand atop his thigh while placing a smoking pipe up to his mouth with his right hand. His elongated head features downcast eyes, a bulbous nose, a masculine mandible, and ears adorned with several earrings, all beneath a domed cap adorned with white-accented panels representing shells. Size: 7" W x 10.375" H (17.8 cm x 26.4 cm)
