Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Nayarit, Chinesco type, Protoclassic Period, ca. 100 BCE to 250 CE. A hand-built and highly burnished pottery figure depicting a nude man seated with outstretched legs and hands placed atop broad knees. Russet-hued pigment covers the body and arms while vertical black-painted stripes adorn the bright orange face of the figure. Size: 3.25" L x 6.7" W x 8.25" H (8.3 cm x 17 cm x 21 cm)
