Native American, Southwestern United States, Arizona, Navajo, ca. late 20th to 21st century CE. A beautiful handwoven rug, made from sheep wool in the regional "Two Grey Hills" style which includes a solid border, matching corner elements, and a central diamond. The use of natural colors creates a lovely neutral color palette and a timeless textile. Two handwritten notes included with the rug indicate that Joella Ashike wove this rug. She is a contemporary weaver residing on the Big Mountain reservation. Size: 45" L x 29.5" W (114.3 cm x 74.9 cm)
