Native American, Southwestern United States, Navajo, ca, 3rd quarter of the 20th century CE. Signed "R. Castillo" possibly Rose Castillo, on verso of pendant. A beautiful necklace of sizable form and wearable construction comprised of beadwork and squash blossom pendants shaped from silver, ranging from 94% to 95% sterling. The primary lunate pendant is set with several polished turquoise and coral cabochons, and delicate filigree wiring adorns the surrounding surfaces. Size (necklace): 28" L (71.1 cm); (central pendant): 4.25" W x 4.5" H (10.8 cm x 11.4 cm); silver quality: 94.62%; total weight: 293.6 grams
