Native American, Southwestern United States, Pueblo / Navajo, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A pair of wearable vintage necklaces made from resin and shell beads. The hand-carved heishi shells are strung together with colored resin beads on a thread with a wire hook clasp. Heishi are small disc or tube shaped beads used in traditional southwestern Native American jewelry. The other necklace is comprised of many strands with petite seed beads arranged in an ombre blending of colors, and a sterling silver terminal chain and hook clasp. Size of multistrand necklace: 25" L (63.5 cm); heishi necklace: 17.5" L (44.4 cm)
