Native American, Midwestern United States, Missouri, Pemiscot County, Eastern Woodland, ca. 100 to 1000 CE. A hand-carved stone gorget or pendant with a pair of hand-drilled perforations. The rectangular stone exhibits light tan, beige, and brown hues, with the form tapering to the narrow end like an axe or celt.
