Native American, United States, Archaic to Woodlands period, ca. 8000 BCE to 1500 CE. An ensemble of 229 hand-knapped stone arrowheads and arrowhead fragments exhibiting hues of black, gray, yellow, beige, pink, crimson, brown, orange, and white. Each point was meant to be bound to a slender arrow shaft and fired at great speeds with accuracy to bring down animals - and potentially humans - of all sizes. Size of largest: 2.375" L x 1.125" W (6 cm x 2.9 cm); (display cases): 16.125" L x 12.125" W x 0.8" H (41 cm x 30.8 cm x 2 cm)
