Native American, Southern United States, Tennessee, Paleo-Indian Period, ca. 13000 to 8000 BCE (15,000 to 10,000 BP). A handsome projectile point, carefully hand-knapped from stone of a rosy brown hue. Displaying a collateral flaking pattern, the ancient weapon presents a lanceolate body with a flat base, a recurvate blade, a slightly serrated edge, and a sharp tip. Size (point): 5.4" L x 1.3" W (13.7 cm x 3.3 cm); (case): 6.3" L x 5.2" W (16 cm x 13.2 cm)
