Native American, Southwestern United States, New Mexico, Mimbres, ca. 880 to 1010 CE. A Style II black on white bowl with a hemispherical body, the interior painted while the exterior is bare. The interior has 4 bands that "spiral" out from the center, which representing the 4 cardinal directions, and wavy lines in the surrounding ground. Size: 5.3" Diameter x 2.75" H (13.5 cm x 7 cm)
