Eva Salazar (Native American, Kumeyaay, 20th to 21st century CE) Textile doll, ca. 2003. A hand made doll with a woven basket hat, beaded necklace with basketry plaque, willow bark skirt, and wool fur trim. The leg is signed "Eva Salazar Kumeyaay 1/15/03." Salazar is famous master artist and basket weaver located in San Diego who teaches and demonstrates traditional Kumeyaay basketry. She has pieces in major museums including the Eiteljorg Museum in Indianapolis and the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian. Size: 12" L x 4" W (30.5 cm x 10.2 cm)
