Description:

Native American, Southwestern United States, Arizona, Hohokam culture, ca. 1100 to 1400 CE. A charming bi-chrome pottery piece, hand-built using coiling and scraping methods to create the smooth surface, with a form comprised of a round body and short neck, with stylized zoomorphic forms adorning the exterior. The midsection features four-legged lizards crawling across, delineated in orange-red pigments on a white ground. A register of slanted linear motifs encircles the vessel below the neck and above the base, and the interior of the lip boasts a zig-zag pattern. A lovely piece of artistry! Size: 4.14" Diameter x 3" H (10.5 cm x 7.6 cm)
