Description:

**Originally Listed At $150**

Native American, Eastern Woodland, Darke County, Ohio, ca. 100 to 1000 CE. A fine pair of knapped spear points or tools, made from a creamy white and smoky beige chert stone. The larger is triangular shaped with slightly convex faces. The smaller has a notched neck and downward pointing fins for hafting on a pole or handle. Knapped blades like these are made using percussion, striking the chert with harder stones; the process required patience and skill to make the correct shape without shattering or breaking off too much chert. Size larger: 3.25" L x 2.125" W (8.3 cm x 5.4 cm); smaller: 1.375" L x 2.5" W (3.5 cm x 6.4 cm)
