Native America, North America, Eastern Woodland, ca. 200 to 1000 CE. A lovely hand axe, hand-knapped from beige-hued chert with pale orange inclusions. The ovoid tool has convex faces, a lightly-rounded butt end, a narrow tip, and sharp edges all around. Lucite display stand for photography purposes only. Size: 2.2" W x 5.25" H (5.6 cm x 13.3 cm).
