Description:

Native American, Midwestern United States, Eastern Woodland, Late Archaic to Early Woodland period, ca. 2000 to 500 BCE (4000 to 2500 BP). A hand-knapped stone projectile point known as a Turkeytail type. The blade is long and pointed with two side notches that create small shoulders and a triangular stem. This leaf-shaped point is flaked from a creamy brown chert stone and could be hafted onto a shaft with a cord. Size: 8.125" L x 2" W (20.6 cm x 5.1 cm)
